200 RPM Oriental Motor, #274-3873-02. AC reversible gearhead motor. Rated 30 watts. No load speed is 283 rpm @ 0.2 amp. Speed is 200 rpm 0.2 amp @ 10 in-oz torque loading. Requires 4.5 MFD capacitor for operation (not supplied). Ball bearing construction. Continuous duty. Thermally protected. Dimensions: 2 3/4" square X 4 1/2" long (excluding shaft). Shaft: 1/4" dia X 7/8" long. Has 1/32" wide snap ring groove near end of shaft. Shaft has flat that starts at end and extends 7/16" back along the shaft. Four 3/16" clear holes in front face for mounting. The shaft has a 1/2" long flat at the end. The unit has a four blade plastic cooling fan on the rear section of the motor shaft. The face of the gearbox has four tapped mounting holes. The holes are tapped for 4mm x 0.7 mm mounting screws.

This motor has dual windings. One winding gives an output rpm of 36 with a 100 oz in load @ 0.49 amp. The other winding produces 37 rpm with a 100 oz in load @ 0.97 amp. The no load speed using either winding is 38 rpm. The one winding draws 0.47 amps while the other winding draws 0.96 amps. This motor may have been designed so that the higher current winding was used to start the motor under load and then the lower current winding was switched in once the motor was up to speed. Either winding could be used in other applications, with the user choosing which current level was best for the application. For safety the unused winding leadwire should be cut or taped off to prevent electrical shock hazard. Shaft: 5/16" dia X 7/8" long. The shaft has a flat that is 1/2" long. The motor has four 5/32" dia clear mounting holes on shaft end of gearbox. Dimensions 3 5/16" square X 3 1/2" deep (excluding shaft).
